Ep. 11: Brianna Wiest on How to Change Your Life

Episode No. 11

Song on repeat. . . Royal Empress by Greg Aswell, or anything ambient I can play in the background while I work.

An empowered woman. . . Is guided by logic, ambition and purpose, not fear of her own feelings.

Words I can’t forget. . .
All the wisdom I have gained from all those who have come before me, my mother, my grandmother, all of the writers I have had the pleasure of learning from. It’s hard to distill it down to one line or sentiment, but every day the words of those much smarter than me run through my head, and I am very grateful for that.

Wisdom for hard times. . . Instead of “why is this happening to me” the story needs to be “what is this trying to teach me?” There is always a lesson. There is always something that life is trying to show you about yourself. There is always something to learn. The skills that you learn in the hardest times of your life are often the ones that help you build the best times of your life.

What people don’t know about me. . . I’m obsessed with Trailer Trash Tammy, I watch her videos all the time, and on my honeymoon, my husband surprised me with a gift in the form of Tammy actually recording a video to me and him giving us marriage advice. It was the greatest thing ever.
